Casa Guadalupe Franciscan Friary West Mesa, Albuquerque, NM

The spiritual home of The Province of Our Lady of Guadalupe Franciscan Friars demonstrates how modern architecture resonates with the spiritual ideals of the Franciscans. The Friary is configured in the form of a traditional cloistered convento and honors the Franciscans’ history and service to the region.

From the Friary’s site high on Albuquerque’s wind swept West Mesa, the twelve friars who reside within the compound are afforded breathtaking views of the entire Middle Rio Grande Valley. The cloisters and gardens create a meditative, monastic environment far removed from the modern world.
